A ceremony was organized on Thursday, February 20 at the plant in Rybinsk, Russia, to celebrate the assembly of the 100th SaM146 engine.

This regional jet engine was developed and is marketed by PowerJet, a 50/50 company of Snecma (Safran) and Russian counterpart Saturn. The 100th engine, serial number 146 208, was assembled in Rybinsk, which hosted the ceremony attended by Saturn executives.

The engine was then delivered to Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where it will be installed on a Superjet 100 for the Russian operator Gazpromavia.

Last November, Snecma’s team celebrated at Villaroche plant (France) the delivery of the 100th SaM146 hot section core.
